New Sign Writing for the Van
From Design to Drive: New Van Sign Writing for RW Currion Electrical
I’ve recently had my van sign written to give it a clean, professional look and make it easier for customers in Banbury, Adderbury and the surrounding areas to get in touch.
I’ve had this van for around 4 years now, but I held off getting it sign written for a while. My previous sign-written van was broken into three times in the space of about 18 months, so I decided to keep things a bit more low-key for a while.
Now things have settled down, I decided it was time to get it properly branded again with a clean, professional design and start getting my name out there again.
The Design Process
I decided to put the design together myself to get exactly the look I wanted.
The main aim was to keep it simple, clear and easy to read — especially when the van is on the move or parked up locally. Making sure the contact details stand out was a big priority, along with adding a QR code so people can quickly visit the website.
Like most things, it took a few attempts to get it right, and some of the early versions didn’t quite hit the mark.

Final Design
After a few tweaks, I settled on a clean layout that works well with the gun metal grey against the silver colour of the van.
The final design includes:
• Business name and logo
• Landline and mobile numbers
• A QR code linking directly to the website
• Location reference to Adderbury (to avoid any confusion… with all the other RW Currion Electricals!)
I did actually forget to include the landline on the first version — but that was quickly picked up and slightly redesigned before going ahead.
The aim was to keep everything clear, professional and easy to recognise.

Working with the Sign Writer
Once the design was finalised, I sent it over to Edge Signs Ltd who provided a layout preview of how it would look on the van.
There was the small last-minute adjustment before going ahead, but that’s all part of the process to get everything just right.
They were great to deal with and made the whole process straightforward from start to finish.

The Finished Van
I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out — clean, professional and easy to spot.
If you see the van around Banbury, Adderbury or the surrounding villages, feel free to give a wave or a honk — or if you’re walking by, scan the QR code to check out the new website.
If you happen to be stuck in traffic behind me, you can even scan the QR code on the back — (passengers only, of course!)
