When you connect with RW Currion Electrical, you deal directly with Richard Currion - a local electrician with over 35 years’ experience in the electrical industry.

After leaving school in 1987, Richard spent the summer working at Banbury’s local cinema before beginning his electrical apprenticeship at the Rover plant in Oxford. Since then, he has worked across domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations, building experience on a wide range of electrical systems.

A major part of Richard’s working life was spent at Kraft General Foods, where he worked for nine years on electrical installations for new plant, packing machines, warehouses and office areas. During this time, he also ran teams of electricians on many projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience with larger installations, machinery supplies, distribution, containment and working safely around busy commercial and industrial sites.

Richard also gained experience on larger sites including The Didcot Diamond Project, the John Radcliffe Hospital and Oxford University, before setting up RW Currion Electrical in 2006.

Since then, Richard has provided electrical services for homeowners, landlords and businesses across Banbury, Adderbury and the surrounding villages.

He is known for clear advice, tidy workmanship and taking the time to explain electrical work properly, whether it is a small repair, an EICR, a consumer unit upgrade, an EV charger installation or a larger electrical project.

Outside of work, Richard enjoys music, live gigs and keeping active with weight training and fitness.

Born and raised in Banbury, Richard has spent many years working locally and takes pride in supporting homeowners, landlords and businesses across the area.
